Network Systems Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing and installing networking technologies for clients, and supporting clients and their networks.
  • Serves as a Project Manager for large projects such as VMware server migrations, VOIP Implementation, Cisco Router/Switch/ASA deployments and other network related assignments.
  • Configures the hardware and software to meet client business needs and documents resolutions for future reference.
  • Use a variety of tools and resources to monitor system readiness and report status changes as needed.
  • Follow defined processes and techniques depending on customer, nature of problem and severity.
  • Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix and VMware technologies.
  • Provide technical support to the internal staff and assist with the design of LAN/WAN-based solutions.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years technical experience in support of Cisco firewalls, routers and switches.
  • 5+ years of working experience supporting Microsoft Server products (Windows Server 2008, 2012/Windows 7 and Windows 8).
  • Microsoft Windows Server Installation, Configuring and Troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with installing, managing and troubleshooting VMWare and Hyper-V virtual environments as well as Virtual Desktops.
  • Must have an extensive understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DFS, Group Policy Management and IIS Administration.
  • Microsoft Exchange Administration, Configuring and troubleshooting experience (Exchange 2010, 2013 and Office365).
  • Experience with Linux/UNIX Systems.
  • Knowledge in LAN/WAN technologies, including; Ethernet, VLAN’s, Virtual Private Networks, MPLS, CSU/DSU’s,
  • Strong understanding of the OSI Model and other networking concepts.
  • Must have strong communication, documentation and customer service skills.
  • Must have the ability to keep up with the latest technologies and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Must be organized, professional and personable while providing outstanding service to our clients.

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security)
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
  • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)

Level 1 Help Desk

Primary functions are Helpdesk support engineer for InfoSight customers and administration of InfoSight’s internal IT resources.  Requires strong networking, troubleshooting and problem solving skills to efficiently and effectively identify problems and apply appropriate solutions.

Leads and advocates innovation and new techniques that improve client satisfaction and improve operating efficiencies while operating within established business practices and guidelines. Responsible for the operational effectiveness of the NOC and daily system administration. This candidate is also responsible for the timely completion of necessary paperwork for billing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to Critical Alerts and Events from managed client networks via direct interaction or escalation to onsite engineers.
  • Manage the design and implementation of the NOC’s policies and procedures including documented procedures for implementation of PremierSight services at client networks
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of our 24x7 PremierSight NOC including backups, security monitoring, patches and updates to servers, routers, switches, IDS, firewalls, etc.
  • Responsible for coordinating staff training on PremierSight procedures and usage
  • Track trouble tickets, work orders and other tasks to completion
  • Follow up on open issues and maintain awareness of daily system activity
  • Monitor and track system faults and hardware performance using all available tools
  • Coordinate with AVP/Technical Services Managers to assign corrective action tasks to the field service workforce and follow up as needed
  • Administration and maintenance of PremierSight hardware, software and communication systems
  • Ensures that paperwork for billing, service database and Issue maintenance is completed in a timely fashion.

Requirements

Attention to detail, commitment to tasks, good communication skills, a team player, able to produce high quality work, a self-motivator with flexibility, advanced computer skills, and good work habits is required. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to work in a stressful environment managing multiple priorities with little supervision. Candidate must have vast experience in the design, implementation and support of Microsoft AD/Exchange infrastructure (2003/2008 server and 2003/7/10 Exchange).  Candidate should have working experience with Cisco routers / switches and security devices (PIX, IDS, etc)

InfoSight Inc, provider of IT infrastructure, IT security and compliance solutions to regulated industries, is looking for a highly-motivated digital marketing & social media intern with experience and fanatical passion for blogging (writing), community participation leadership (i.e., someone who is addicted to the conversation), graphic design and list management.

  • Supporting the department’s marketing activities, such as tradeshows, webinars and marketing automation efforts
  • Maintaining and monitoring company social media channels for trending news, ideas and memes, and then capitalizing on those trends through content creation, engagement and organizing cross-platform content strategies (analyzing social media metrics)
  • Creating content for our training and education portals
  • Maintaining email lists and supporting campaigns
  • Building and writing content for our blog
  • Refreshing existing marketing collaterals
  • Providing research and analytic reports
